Rodney Chambers, President and CEO

Mr. Rodney Chambers is a native of Morehead City, North Carolina.  He began his career in music in the Carteret County School System where he was percussion section leader of the Award Winning West Carteret High School Marching Patriots.  Upon graduation from high school he attended North Carolina A&T State University where he served as Percussion Section Leader for the North Carolina A&T Blue & Gold Marching Machine and received a BA in Music.

Mr. Chambers has worked with several notable marching bands throughout the United States.  He has also been an instructor at Mid Atlantic Band Front Camps, an adjudicator for the Carolina Color Guard Circuit and several marching band events on both the collegiate and high school level. He still serves as a adjudicator for regional and local marching band events.

His teaching career began in Kenly, North Carolina at North Johnston High School. He moved from North Carolina to Richmond, Virginia where he taught at Thomas Jefferson High School. From there he traveled to Washington D.C. and continued his award winning teaching career at Paul Laurence Dunbar Senior High School.  Under his direction, each program has excelled in the marching band arena by earning superior ratings in regional and national contest. However, his biggest achievement came when the Dunbar High School Band was selected out of 5000 applicants to participate in the 2009 Presidential Inaugural Parade to honor President Barrack Obama.

In 1998, Mr. Chambers took on the corporate arena where he joined the ranks of US Airways as an Account Executive.  Utilizing his knowledge of both the music and corporate environment, he formed Asymmetrix Entertainment Inc. In the year of 2002, he created the ultimate high stepping competition, The National High School High Stepping Marching Band Championship.  This along with several other adjudicated events where formed to promote music excellence and higher education. 

Ophelia Hodge – Secretary, Information Specialist

Ms. Hodge is a native of Morehead City, North Carolina and has been in various executive level management positions in both the private and public sector for over 25 years.   She attended Fayetteville State University where she major in English. She has worked with several large high school marching bands dealing with planning and funding.  

Ms. Hodge joined Asymmetrix after she retired from a 35 year career with Branch Banking & Trust Company. She currently serves in an essential part of her home town church and Asymmetrix. Ms. Carver has dedicated her time to the development of young and older adults.
 

Ronald Covington - Director, Finance and Sponsorships

Mr. Ron Covington is a native of St. Louis, Missouri where he attended Vashon High School and the University of Missouri at Rolla. There he majored in Engineering and Finance. For over fifteen years he has worked in the private industry holding various management level positions for Fortune 50 companies where he trained, developed, and coached teams in Continuous Improvement. During this time, Mr. Covington was responsible for managing and tracking millions of dollars and multiple facilities. Mr. Covington also has experience working with the District of Columbia as a financial analysis on city wide capital projects.

Mr. Covington began working for Asymmetrix in 2007 as a volunteer at the national championships in Greensboro, North Carolina. It was there that he realized the value and spirit of the National High School High Stepping Marching Band Championship. He currently serves Director of Finance and Sponsorships for our organization.
